For protection Bauer uses MD foam with PE inserts in the fingers and backhand for impact resistance against common hockey occurances like slashes or blocked shots.

The Bauer X glove also includes a taktile palm to make it easier for new-to-hockey players grip their stick. The two-piece flex thumb will give players more mobility but also prevent hyperextension.

The 2021 Bauer X Glove was designed for the recreational or new-to-hockey player that is looking for something that doesn’t have all the high end technologies but will have the comfort and protection needed for playing occassionally or on pond.
